Microsoft Awards 2010 for Unicorn Systems

Unicorn Systems and INCAD jointly received a Microsoft Awards 2010 in the category of Best Solutions for Enterprise Collaboration and Portal Solutions for Application HELP KC developed for the Česká pojišťovna.
The 12th Annual Microsoft Awards Contest took place on March 30, 2010, where the best customer solutions were awarded. Unicorn Systems received the award jointly with the firm Incad for the project Knowledge Base Communication Center of Česká pojišťovna (ČP), which was evaluated in the category of Best Solutions for Enterprise Collaboration and Portal Solutions.
The evaluation was carried out by an evaluation committee comprised of representatives from Microsoft as well as experts from other various fields. The selection was made from a total of 69 entered solutions divided into 7 categories. Most of the awards were given out to projects that significantly reduced operating costs and increased efficiency throughout the organization, while maintaining the overall low investment in the project itself.
Knowledge Base Communication Center of ČP is an innovative solution based on an advanced search technology MS FAST ESP and publishing environment based on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server. The solution delivers an intuitive interface with a new dimension of knowledge discovery based on semantic search and dynamic navigation.
As stated by Mr. Pavel Kocourek, Executive Director of INCAD: "We greatly appreciate the cooperation of Unicorn Systems in the implementation of the Knowledge Base Communication Center of the Česká pojišťovna. While working on this project we tremendously valued the overall teamwork, reliability and work effort."
Mr. David Škarka, Director of the Architecture Department of Česká pojišťovna, said: "I appreciate the excellent cooperation with Unicorn and Incad during the design and implementation stages of the Solution which meets the architectural requirements for building a corporate knowledge base. The evidence of success is the great satisfaction of our users in the communications center and of course the award granted by Microsoft."
