Unicorn Systems has been operating in the insurance industry for more than 10 years and it has implemented many key projects for the biggest players in the insurance market. It has a large team of experts specialized in a wide range of technologies and software tools used by insurance companies to support their business, as well as experts with perfect knowledge in the specifics of the insurance market and insurance products. Standardized solutions even for non-standard situations
Unicorn Systems has completed dozens of custom-made systems for particular insurance companies in the form of custom development, but we can offer a wide range of standardized pre-prepared solutions, as well. These include industry best practices and are based on modern technological platforms from leading software producers, such as IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, SAS and others. Deployment of such solutions significantly accelerates and improves efficiency of new information system implementation. However, deploying pre-prepared solutions into the environment of a particular insurance company also requires adequate knowledge of insurance product specifics.

Unified front-end for all applications
Quality client service is a key issue for each insurance company. Historically, each insurance company works with a varied range of applications, whether it be a variety of core insurance systems for all kinds of insurance products, applications for claims handling or sale systems whose data is required in order to provide a complex client service not only in the branches but also in the call center or on the internet portal. GATE – a unified front-end from Unicorn Systems is the starting point which represents a modern solution unifying and consolidating data to be used by all insurance distribution channels.
In addition to client data consolidation into a unified user interface, the implementation of a modern unified portal also provides complex access to client data from one location, support of all regular insurance distribution channels and also sales support for other products by means of which the portal accelerates and improves efficiency of client service and shortens the training time for branch office employees.
Effective Customer Relationship Management
In a highly competitive environment, which the insurance market definitely is, effective Customer Relationship Management (CRM) has become the Alpha and Omega of business success. Unicorn Systems has long-term experience in implementing a wide range of CRM solutions. CRM solutions from Unicorn Systems help insurance companies to better understand the needs of their existing and prospective customers and thus improve the efficiency of business processes and reduce operating costs. These solutions are built to enable insurance companies not only to provide their existing clients the best care possible but also to address and attract new customers. Modern solutions for insurance claims handling
The process of claims handling represents one of the key agendas – the fast and smooth process of claims handling considerably influences customer satisfaction in insurance companies. The CLIP Solution (Claims Intelligent Processing) provides for the efficient processing of all stages of the claims handling process for life and non-life insurance products within one unified user interface (see Fig. 3). It completely guides employees of the insurance company through the entire claims handling process. It enables insurance companies to significantly accelerate and improve the efficiency of the claims handling process vis-à-vis customers, while simultaneously optimizing the overall volume of paid insurance indemnity thanks to process standardization. An important advantage is also the possibility of fast moderation of claims handling processes in case of emergency events, such as floods.
Standard features of the CLIP Solution include, for example, a broad support of communication channels for insurance claim notification, automated segmentation of claims by various criteria, support of electronic document circulation or sophisticated task management of claims handlers, and on-line reporting. The solutions also include pre-prepared interfaces for core insurance, fraud or DMS systems.

Commission as a base
The commission system is one of the key applications of each insurance company – a satisfied agent or broker, motivated by the commissions system, is an essential prerequisite for every insurance company’s business success. The commission system from Unicorn Systems represents a complex, tried and tested,robust solution for calculation and payment of commissions on the sale of life and non-life insurance products within the entire insurance dealer network. Thanks to this system, dealers can be sure that their commissions will be calculated accurately and on time and are therefore motivated to further sell the insurance products. One of the major advantages of the commission system, developed by Unicorn Systems, is the fast processing of commissions from various systems of an insurance company, multiple options for setting calculation properties, including setting individual commission coefficients and bonuses, support for commission processing of the entire dealer network and broad reporting options.
